We hope your 2018 is off to a great start!

As we get into the swing of the new year, we would like to take a look back to reflect on key accomplishments, while also sharing some exciting initiatives we have planned for the future. 2017 was a great year for Asset Health, as we continued to grow our client base, revenue, and capabilities, while also making key investments in our technical infrastructure, system security, and support capabilities. Here are some highlights from the past year, as well as a glimpse into our future roadmap.

2017 Summary Recap

v5 Platform and User Experience Enhancements – We launched a new version of our robust user-experience portal in 2017, incorporating client and user testing feedback. This release included interface enhancements to our proprietary Health Assessment, Health Coaching page, Wellness Reminders, Resources, and Events Calendar. We have also added integrated surveys and a five-star rating system that makes it easy for users to provide feedback and rate content. And finally, we continued to deliver new health resources and educational content, including more interactive Knowledge Management courses.

Healthy Nudges and Purpose-Driven User Engagement – 2017 also heralded significant behavioral science enhancements to our platform. We launched the Asset Health “Why Wall”, a virtual bulletin board that helps users define their “why” — their reason for achieving improved wellbeing. Users can personalize their Why Wall, adding notes and pinning photos. We’ve continued to enhance our wellbeing experience by incorporating Nudge Theory – a concept in behavioral science that proposes positive reinforcement and unforced, indirect suggestions to influence motivation and behavior. An all-new guided experience, inclusive of helpful nudges, guides, and page tours lends a helping hand to users, making the site easier to explore and more user-friendly.
Healthy Missions and Whole-Person Wellbeing Tracking – Continuing with our focus on enhancing the user experience, we launched Asset Health Missions. Missions are personal, meaningful health objectives that users can select and configure. Missions guide participants along, steering them to gain knowledge through courses, achieve goals through healthy habits, and make progress with action steps. Along with this new feature, we have streamlined our activity reporting interface.

Continued Improvements to Customer Service and Coaching – We completed a system integration to deliver a cutting-edge telephonic support solution for customer service and coaching participants - making the participant service experience smoother and more user-friendly. All onsite health coaches achieved nationally recognized certifications in 2017, and we continued to expand our robust health coaching resource library. We also launched five new Path to Wellness targeted coaching programs. We now offer coach-guided and self-guided programs that cover twelve topics; Sleep, Nourish, Move, Lighten Up (weight management), Focus5 (preventing metabolic syndrome), De-Stress, Financial Wellbeing, Whole-Person Wellbeing, Tobacco-Free Me, Substance Abuse, Healthy Pregnancy, and Take Control (preventing type 2 diabetes).

Expansion and Innovation – We opened a new technology development office in downtown Detroit and launched Asset Health Innovation Labs, sharing in civic revitalization efforts and allowing our software architecture team to bring newfound attention to innovative disruption. We also invested in our user experience team, launched our bot reporting framework and started to explore possibilities around health care blockchain technology and bot framework expansion.

What to Look Forward to in 2018

Results-Based Pricing and ROI2 Reporting – 2018 will bring an intense focus on continuing to deliver wellbeing program results. We will introduce an innovative approach to pricing, putting traditional administrative fees at risk and focusing on delivering and measuring results in the form of reduced health care costs for our partner-clients. We will continue to measure wellbeing results through our proprietary ROI2 reporting service, which integrates health care claims costs with wellbeing participation data to deliver a comprehensive analysis of wellbeing program results.

Financial Wellbeing – Together with our partner GreenPath Financial Wellness, we are excited to launch an all-new financial wellbeing engagement platform. This new financial wellbeing program employs an unprecedented approach, focusing on physical and behavioral wellbeing in tandem with financial wellbeing. A concise but comprehensive financial health assessment, financial wellbeing missions, healthy habits, action steps, and courses will be included in this robust Asset Health program.

Further User Experience and Platform Enhancements – In 2018, we will continue to focus on the individual user experience with the development of the next iteration of our platform (v6). This enhancement will focus on aesthetic and user interface updates, making the experience even more streamlined and intuitive. We will also launch an updated Health Assessment questionnaire with NCQA certification, and a new Wellbeing Challenge framework that adds many new user-centric features.

Direct Primary Care (Inclusive of Onsite and Near-site Clinics) and Asset HealthMD® – We will continue our commitment, in 2018, to deliver cutting-edge integrated solutions that provide direct primary care services on a near-site and onsite basis to our clients – within properly structured health system and community partnerships. The Asset HealthMD® integrated technology will be applied to directly support the patient-physician relationship inside and outside the doctor’s office.
Expanding into Healthy Communities – In our efforts to build cultures of success and wellbeing, we will be broadening our healthy communities approach; leveraging the Asset Health toolset to advance the improved health and wellbeing of Medicaid-eligible and near-eligible populations. Through strategic partnership, we will begin to deliver community support systems that empower individuals to successfully address the social determinants of health.

International Wellness – In the very important effort to support our client-partners with global workforces, we are working to expand our delivery network in 2018 to support international wellness programs. We are dedicated to the offering of a fully integrated international wellbeing program that adopts best-practice security and international data compliance standards.

Thank you again for your continued partnership and support. With 2018 well underway, we are excited to tackle the opportunities ahead, while continuing to expand and enhance our products and services – focused on results, improved individual health and wellbeing, and lower health care costs.

Best wishes,

Robert
