Dear <<&firstname>>
As automation suppliers, we are all seeing security becoming a future product requirement. At SPS show in Germany, ODVA will be demonstrating CIP Security talking to Hilscher’s new netX 90 Chip. The chip is designed with the necessary hardware to implement industrial network security protocols including CIP Security. Concurrently with EtherNet/IP we can also run OPC UA for IIoT data applications.
If you are attending SPS perhaps we can set up a meeting? Email me with your availability during SPS if you’re interested.
Below is more information on the netX 90.
Download the netX 90 whitepaper.
The netX 90 is designed specifically for low-cost slave devices, such as sensors or in high end devices as a network coprocessor. It has dual processors for SoC applications; one processor is used for the network stack and the second is assigned to the host application (see diagram). This second core can be used with any operating system of your choice and has JTAG ports for debugging.
Future-Proof by Design
By choosing netX chips, you can be sure your designs are future-proof. The chips include extensive security features such as: Secure Boot, local certificate storage and Encryption. We will be demonstrating CIP Security at SPS this fall. This chip also has IIoT services are already built-in, including Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN), OPC UA, MQTT.
Availability 10 years minumum (2019-2029)
We also have secure Edge Devices to bridge OPC or MQTT to outside unsecure systems.
I've included the block diagrams for netX 90.
