The industry-leading cifX PC Cards are the easiest and most flexible way to add industrial networking to your PC-based applications. Based on Hilscher's multi-protocol netX chip, cifX cards are the ultimate network controllers, supporting all real-time Ethernet protocols as well as popular fieldbuses, as masters and slaves. All cards use the same API and the same tools, so your networking options are unlimited.
The cifX cards are available in 13 different PC Card form factors including: PCI and PCI Express, Compact PCI, Mini PCI, M.2 and PCI 104. Data exchange with the host is via dual-port memory (DPM) or direct memory access (DMA). A wide range of device drivers is supported, including Linux, Windows, QNX and OPC, and the cards include a free C Toolkit. Learn more about drivers.
For PC systems with no available backplane slots, we have the netHOST, which is a "remote" PC Card interface module that uses Ethernet to create a backplane extension. It is software-driver compatible with our other cifX PC Cards.
All cifX and netHOST products have Software Drivers for: Embedded Systems; Windows CE; Windows 10 (and many older versions); Linux; VxWorks; QNX; Intime; IntervalZero; Siemens WinAC; and “C” Source Code.
Special Features of cifX include: Extended Temperature Range; Common Driver Interface (in use since 2004); Long-term availability of Driver Interface (until at least 2030).
