We hope you've had a good start to 2018. As you're no doubt aware, Larson has a long history of developing quality and reliable software for the Oil and Gas market. We continue to develop and test our software portfolio, and make sure we are compatible with the latest operating systems, including Windows10. In this edition, we summarize our most popular oil and gas software solutions and describe a new file format that could be on interest, SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic).  

CGM Studio

CGM Studio is our flagship Oil and Gas software, developed for the geoscience industry for creating complex montage images. The creation of high-resolution montages and posters is quick and easy. CGM Studio also supports the industry file formats CGM, CGM+ and PDF.

VizEx GeoTech (GT)

VizEx GT is the industry specific CGM viewing technology. View multiple seismic and well logs side by side for file comparisons and correlation. Annotate and highlight, add geological symbols, also splice well log images and concatenate into a single image. Easy to install, easy to use.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic)

SVG is a modularized markup language (XML), used to describe two-dimensional graphics applications and images. SVG was primarily designed to view vector graphics on the web. The big advantage, the format is native in HTML5. The format is currently being used in GIS mapping applications, and the interactive data visualization segment for dashboard graphics. Larson supports SVG in many of its products and will add more in the future.
